Think Specialist Recruitment are pleased to be working with a Global organisation based on the outskirts of the Watford area. Our leading client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to join their organisation. This position is a newly created role to join an existing team and would suit someone who has a wealth of experience. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing an in-house IT function including proposing, planning and implementing IT strategy and policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of IT infrastructure, IT processes, staff and third-party relationships.

Salary – up to £50,000pa depending on experience, plus great benefits

Some of the duties will include:

• Establish the IT strategy,  identifying competitive advantages and new technology
• To oversee the current IT projects currently being implemented, ensuring smooth transitions to new IT platforms and software
• Plan and implement future IT projects to develop and enhance systems in a cost effective and time efficient manner
• Analyse the business requirements and conduct research to improve the integration of IT systems, advising the senior management team, and agreeing implementation strategies
• Manage the IT budget to ensure a cost-effective operation
• Planning for disaster recovery and regular testing of disaster recovery plans
• Management of IT infrastructure and end points, both onsite and remote
• Set up and manage systems for IT support request logging and problem resolution and prevention
• Full line management of IT staff including training and mentoring
• Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
• Negotiate and build relationships with IT suppliers
• Create training materials for employees on how to make the best use of the company IT systems
• Provide IT support for other office locations across Europe

The suitable candidate:

• Previous experience within a similar position with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• A comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies
• Experience within IT Project Management
• Strong communication skills on all levels
• Can commute to outskirts of Watford as will need to be based in the office
• Excellent working knowledge of different computer systems
