We are recruiting for a new function within a global business who have recognised the need for a dedicated specialist to deliver the engagement strategy to ensure the satisfaction of their employees and assist in their talent attraction and retention success across their European operations and further afield.

We are seeking candidates who have specifically come from an Employee Engagement background (be that from within a HR or Internal Communications team) who brings ideas, energy and competency within this niche field.

The role is wide ranging, encompassing the development and coordination of employee engagement activities in collaboration with experts across the business to shape activities that improve the way the Company listens to, communicates, engages, and motivates employees to enhance the overall employee experience.   In addition, the role will manage employer brand development initiatives to engage, attract and retain experienced hires.

The role is based out of their office in Hemel Hempstead with opportunity to work from home 2/3 days per week. Salary circa £50,000 to £60,000 + an excellent benefits package.

Duties to include:

• Support the development and implementation of action plans in response to feedback gathered via surveys, employee forums, formal and informal feedback mechanisms on employee opinions, levels of engagement and the employee experience.
• Identify, develop and coordinate the delivery of key engagement and wellbeing activities, working in conjunction with operational HR teams to maximise levels of engagement and retention across the region.
• Analyse and recognise patterns in employee data, using people metrics such as absence, attrition, equality and diversity, to evaluate the success of activities and ensure that any emerging trends are recognised and acted upon.
• Support the implementation of a new recognition scheme enabling colleagues to recognise each other for demonstrating company values.
• Develop and implement a range of employee voice opportunities, to maximise two-way communication opportunities throughout the region.
• Coordinate and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives, establishing benchmarks and targets against which future improvements can be made.
• Ongoing review and enhancement of the employer brand framework, collateral and social media recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with marketing and HR communication.
• Ensure consistent branding/content across recruitment digital and social media channels and print and online communications.
• Develop a social media content calendar for employer brand.

Candidate requirements:

• Previous employee engagement experience is essential
• Experience of working in an HR or Internal Comms environment.
• Specific experience of employee engagement activities - what attracts, motivates, engages and retains employees.
• Experience of delivering employee engagement surveys, analysing results and translation into actionable plans.
• Experience in producing and analysing data and making commercial recommendations and proposals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent planning, organising and personal time management skills.
• An innovative thinker, able to understand and creatively meet the employee engagement and employer brand needs of differing business and geographical areas.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office packages (primarily Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) to produce slide decks and document requirements.
• Self-motivated and able to self-manage with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines and escalate concerns.
