Think Specialist Recruitment are working with a division of a global business to recruit an Account Assistant to join their small, close-knit UK finance team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the accurate reporting and analysis of all revenue and costs for two key revenue streams. The role therefore requires someone who is accurate, methodical, systems literate and with strong Excel skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to take on a varied role with lots of responsibility where you will learn, progress and develop your experience.
Overview of duties:
- The production, verification, analysis and review of all costs and revenue for the Division
- Verification of all vendor invoices
- Production of sales invoices
- Preparation of weekly revenue and cost forecasts
- Preparation and verification of accruals for month end reporting
- Preparation of month end revenue and cost analysis for inclusion in gross profit report
- Provide detailed analysis of costs and revenue trends with explanations as to fluctuations and deviations from expectations
- Independently deal with problems and issues as they arise and find and communicate solutions to key parties
- Proactively liaise with internal and external partners to ensure issues and anomalies are promptly rectified
- Assist with the maintenance and development of the finance dashboard reporting tools for these products
- Cross train with other Accounts Assistants to ensure fully cross functional department
- Contribute to the achievement of the departmental KPI’s
- Other ad-hoc duties as requested.
- Timely review and checking and analysis of costs and revenue
- Minimise the reported deviation between actual costs and estimated costs
Candidate requirements:
- Previous accounting experience
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to communicate confidently at all levels both face to face and in writing
- Able to work to tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel essential
