We are recruiting for a Brand Manager job opportunity based in Luton working for an international company within the baby, infant and children’s toys and merchandise sector. As part of international growth, a dedicated UK based office has been set up and will be paramount to the future growth and development of the company and will be responsible for further drive of the brand here in the UK and Irish markets. The Brand Manager role is vital to the start-up of the operation and has scope to develop to into a bigger Marketing role. We are seeking candidates with previous brand management experience with the ability to take full responsibility for product marketing and branding in the UK.
Overview of role:
- Managing all aspects of the brand and product portfolio
- Creating a lasting impression among consumers and retailers whilst improving product sales and market share.
- Working closely with our head office in creating a brand & product strategy and ensuring all aspects of the product range align with the ethos and goals of the brand.
- Working closely with trade and consumer press and external agencies to maximise the brand exposure
- Creating an enduring brand message that results in increased sales, brand loyalty and improving market share.
- Championing the brand internally and externally making sure all elements of the company understand the brand and its goals.
- Perform regular audits of retail partner websites to ensure all items are listed correctly and have the most up to date images, videos, reviews, product copy and supporting information.
- Working closely with all parts of the company to ensure commercial goals of the brand are achieved
- Developing high quality and effective marketing materials that align correctly with the overall brand strategy.
- Presenting the brand strategy and Product ranges to our retail partners at all levels.
- Managing external agencies and ensuring marketing budgets are met.
- Seeking out new marketing opportunities that fit with the brand and maximising all opportunities for growth.
- Maintaining excellent product knowledge on the whole product range and a good awareness of market and competitor activities
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience within a brand manager role or similar
- A dynamic and hands-on person who is comfortable working in a very small team environment.
- Experience of marketing premium quality branded items
- You will be comfortable with taking on a role, which requires a lot of customer contact.
- You will have strong skills in numeracy, communication (both written and verbal) and have excellent analytical and IT skills.
- You will be happy to take direction from the Country Manager but also be able to work autonomously without too much hand holding.
- Last but by no means least - you will bring energy, drive and a good sense of humour.
