Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic client based within the Elstree area. This client are a Global organisation with a newly created department, and have a position for a Supply Chain Planner to join the team. The position will be a key position within the company, managing the flow of products from factory to customers. The suitable candidate will need to have previous experience within Supply Chain, someone who is a good communicator as this person will be working with various parties including suppliers, customers, internal departments and more. 

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 plus good benefits 
Monday - Friday - 35 hour working week - fully office based to start, hybrid after probation 

Some of the duties will include:

• Working with suppliers, customers and internal teams to ensure a smooth delivery process 
• Liaising with factories globally 
• Negotiating with factories where necessary to meet customer requirements 
• Tracking shipments and purchase orders, as well as general administration as required
• Analysing supply chain data to identify performance issues
• Support continuous improvement across supply chain process 
• Working between internal and external stakeholders 
• Creating and maintaining Supply Chain KPI's to Senior Management, including on-time delivery, inventory and any cost related metrics
• Implement, updated and maintain supply chain software

The suitable candidate:

• Previous experience within supply chain, logistics and inventory management
• Strong communication skills on all levels 
• Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Good IT skills including Excel, supply chain software and ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Must be local to the Elstree area 
• Happy to be initially office based
