We are recruiting a Sales Office Manager for an established and highly successful family owned company based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.  The business supplies products across the UK within a niche sector.  Responsible for 11 staff in total across the customer service team (4) and office based account managers (7), this role will play a pivotal part in the motivation and success of the teams, whilst also taking a hands on approach in managing a customer base of approximately 100 accounts.

We are looking for candidates with previous management experience from within a sales and customer service role. You must have the ability to drive staff performance and take ownership of the day to day operations.

Overview of duties: 

• Leading the customer service and telephone account manager teams
• Responsible for day to day management of around 11 staff
• Monitoring KPIs and team statistics
• You will also manage a small sales area with approx 100 customers/prospect accounts
• Acting as the ‘go to’ person for questions and support
• Holding the team accountable to meet KPIs
• Having a thorough understanding of processes and procedures within the business
• Regular team meetings, huddles and 1-1 meetings
• Ongoing coaching and training including listening to and playing back calls
• Manage the induction process as well as ongoing product and process training requirements.
• Managing the customer complaint procedure
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports for the Directors
• Providing general support for the Directors as needed

Candidate requirements:

• Prior sales office management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent leadership qualities
• Customer focused approach
• Strong understanding of sales and customer service
• Hands on approach/happy to manage and develop your own accounts
