We are pleased to be working with an innovative and rapidly growing business who have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to join an expanding, warm and welcoming company based in Hemel Hempstead. 

As the Operations Manager your duty will be to support the growth and development of the business by managing the team to deliver projects and programmes to the companies’ clients. This position will involve a wide variety of responsibility from managing reports and liaising with Senior Project Managers to being heavily involved with new staff and their training needs as well as maintaining staff satisfaction.

We are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience of leading/managing a team.

We have been working with this business for many years and have seen them grow from a very small startup business and blossom into a very successfully business who are well renowned in their sector and have built a high performing team of very sociable and lovely people, which has created a great culture.

This is a permanent role paying between £45,000 to £55,000, working hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm.

Duties to include:

• Management reporting through established key performance indicators.
• Anticipatory planning with clears risks and mitigations in place and reported.
• Interface between senior project managers and executive team.
• People Management: Recruitment, Induction, Training & Staff retention.
• Drive company culture & staff satisfaction strategy.
• Health & Safety lead.
• Supporting the growth and development of the business by managing a team to deliver projects and programmes to all company clients.
• Day-to-day responsibility for multiple projects and service delivery to account directors.
• Providing management and operational direction to the delivery team and escalation of risk to leadership team and account directors.
• Internal process development and refinement to create lean deployment and reproducibility of core products.
• Act as a programme and project management example, supporting and growing the project executive team and equipping efficient and impactful service.
• Understand and implement performance management strategies.
• Owning the programme delivery charts, anticipating risk, and putting in solutions to address challenges.

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience of leading and managing a team to deliver multiple and complex programmes.
• Experience in scoping and resourcing new and existing service delivery.
• Full driving license with flexibility and willingness to travel when required.
• Degree level and proven experience of operational management in a B2B business.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
