We are looking to recruit a Head of Reward and Recognition to take responsibility for creating the Reward function for a global business! The successful candidate will be the first person in this post and will be responsible for the development of the department and working closely with the People Director to implement, drive and deliver a compelling offering to attract, motivate, and ultimately retains talent across the business.
The Head of Reward will be accountable for establishing a high performing team that will transform the way the business approaches reward and recognition. We are looking for candidates excited by the prospect of building this function who have previous “Head of” experience or similar.
Salary circa £100,000 with fantastic bonus potential (30%-40% of salary) and excellent benefits.
Role overview:
- Accountable for establishing and leading the reward and recognition strategy globally for the organisation
- Designs and executes a framework that recognises individual contribution and drives colleague engagement
- Take an external approach to total reward looking at the competitor environment in order to ensure that the Company is effectively positioned and financially future proofed.
- Accountable for the employee benefit proposition and will actively review and continuously improve this to address market conditions and align with the company direction
- Represents the Company at a Group level for reward and recognition activity
- Accountable for job evaluation methodologies and salary benchmarking
- Define and manage the company's approach to and use of short- and long-term incentives.
- Responsible for the people data strategy to ensure that both the People department and wider business takes an insight driven approach to decisions
- Partner with 3rd party suppliers to optimise relationships and offerings to deliver effective reward strategies
- Leads and inspires a team to drive the reward and recognition agenda
Candidate requirements:
- Proven ability to create and implement reward strategies globally
- Experience in a people leadership role
- Experience of engaging with and managing external suppliers
- Employment law and technical legal knowledge of pay, benefits, pensions, and mobility requirements
- Experience in delivering transformational change
- Wide range of influencing skills and ability to communicate confidently across a range of stakeholders
- Organisational skills; managing multiple competing priorities
- Strong numerical skills and analytical capability
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lead and motivate teams
- Ability to lead transformational change
- Commercial acumen
- Strategic and forward thinking
- CIPD qualified /member (desirable)
