Think Accountancy and Finance are working with an international e-commerce business based in North London in the recruitment of an Interim Management Accountant.

This is a long-term temporary position for a Qualified or QBE experienced Management Accountant who has worked in the e-commerce and/or retail industry. The successful candidate will also have Group reporting experience and international exposure.

This is an exciting role for a committed and hardworking Management Accountant who is looking for a challenging role, to work with a highly motivated team in a high growth environment.  The ideal candidate will have at least four years all round accountancy experience with strong technical group reporting, balance sheet reconciliation and analytical skills.

Day to day activities include:

Role responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, group reports and financial analysis
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and manage the fixed asset register by company (multi-currency)
• Support the transition to new accounting system
• Support the annual audit, and prepare VAT, tax and statutory reports under IFRS
• Validate and correct any reconciliation anomalies to ensure that all company ledgers are complete and accurate
• Prepare bank reconciliations, cashflow reports and manage treasury requirements
• Prepare intercompany balances that are timely and accurate and report to Group
• Challenge existing processes and working methods to deliver a program of continuous improvement within finance and the wider business
• Establish and build upon strong, cohesive working relationships across the organisation
• Assist with and drive forward the successful implementation of accounting systems and processes within the company
• Liaise with suppliers including assisting in the resolution of any issues

The ideal candidate will have worked in an e-commerce business.
