Think Human Resources are pleased to be partnering with an exciting international brand to recruit an Employee Relations Specialist for their UK operations. A well-known business in the world of sport and hospitality, the business currently has 3 sites in the UK and is big success story on a global scale. We are seeking an ER Advisor/HR Advisor with strong employee relations experience to take ownership of developing their culture, capably supporting all areas of the business on ER and have a big input into people and culture related projects .
There will be travel involved but in the Greater London area only. Although 50% of the role will be working from home, you must be able to travel across the Greater London sites for 50% of the working week. You'll get to experience their fantastic sites regularly and will receive significant employee discounts if you decide to treat friends and family outside of working hours!
Role overview:
- Integral to the development and delivery of cultural, engagement and learning initiatives that build high trust and high performance teams comprised of actively engaged and retained employees
- Provide robust HR advice to Line Managers in respect to all people related matters, inclusive of but not limited to; disciplinaries, grievances and performance management.
- Work alongside the management teams to ensure that any Employee Relations cases are resolved in a timely manner, escalating to the HR Manager where necessary.
- Ensure legal compliance at all times and identify trends and learnings for continuous improvement and training opportunities to be executed
- Oversee the Employee onboarding process on a UK-wide basis, ensuring that all mandated training is completed and that the probationary review process is reasonably carried out with all staff.
- Work with HR Systems Co-ordinator and site based Administrators to ensure that all necessary documentation is administered and stored securely in line with data protection regulations, at all stages in the Employee life-cycle
- Effectively manage Employee absence in line with relevant policies and procedures to ensure staff feel supported and cared for with regards to their wellbeing whilst bringing about improvement in standards for the Company
- Analyse and investigate Employee leaver data, ensuring to administer exit surveys in order to identify trends and to share relevant and appropriate feedback to the HR Manager and Site Management teams for continuous improvement opportunities
- Administer and manage the annual performance development review process and support with any ad hoc People Team projects
Candidate requirements:
- Strong background in employee relations
- Ability to take full ownership of ER across the business
- Up date knowledge of employment law
- Excellent communicator
- A passion for culture and people
- Full driving licence
