We are pleased to be recruiting for a Service Engineer Co-Ordinator for a sizable and well-established distributor based in St Albans
This is an important role in a fast-paced environment requiring exceptional communication skills, quality organisational ability and a talent for building relationships with customers. As a Service Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the effective day to day planning and co-ordinating of the nationwide team of service and technical support engineers
Duties:
- Scheduling 14 mechanical and electrical engineers jobs countrywide, these include breakdown/warranty calls and also to fit parts and contract service visits
- Maintaining the customer database and keeping the engineers daybook up to date
- Liaising with customers by e-mail and telephone and where necessary arranging for parts to be on site for the visits
- Closing down worksheets when they come in by typing up the engineers reports and where necessary passing them onto different Managers for further investigation
- Ensuring where necessary that we get official Purchase Orders or taking payment for non account holders for the engineers visits on credit/debit cards
- Making any notes on worksheets regarding charging before passing them onto Accounts Dept
- Making flight, hotel, ferry bookings for the engineers via different websites
- Keeping the engineers tool lists up to date
- Keeping the PAT test log and reminding engineers as and when necessary to have their equipment re-tested
