Think Human Resources have registered a new HR Manager job opportunity based in the Watford area to cover maternity leave on an 8 month fixed term contract.  Working for an SME, the role will be varied and not only takes on all HR for approximately 65 employees, but also takes ownership of facilities and fleet. We are seeking candidates with HR experience from within an SME environment, payroll experience and a flexible, hands on approach.

Interviews to take place in early December with a view of the successful candidate commencing the FTC from 6^th January 2021. This will be 100% office based due to the nature of the business.

Overview of duties:

• Responsible for all things HR for an organisation of circa 65 employees
• Dealing with paperwork for all starters and leavers
• Onboarding and inductions for new employees
• Managing recruitment process for the business
• Dealing with any Employee Relations matters that arise
• Supporting and guiding line managers on ER whilst taking ownership of more serious/complex issues
• Providing payroll data and MI to Finance Director monthly and other reports as requested
• Taking ownership of company payroll and providing payroll/employee data to outsourced payroll company to process monthly
• Dealing with all site facilities and associated contracts/service providers
• Handling all fleet queries and associated administration
• Maintain company handbook and policies
• Adapting policies to include changing legislation
• Overseeing the training and development of employees across all functions
• Ensuring company culture is developed and evolves

Candidate requirements:

• Ideally CIPD qualified but will have experience of managing HR function for SME
• Strong, all round HR experience
• Experience of overseeing payroll
• Good systems skills and experience
• Solid understanding of Employee Relations
• Flexible and hands on approach essential
