We are pleased to be working with a division of a market-leading, global logistics company to recruit for a permanent HR Advisor to be based out of the East Midlands office close to Castle Donington at East Midlands International Airport. Supporting a workforce of around 250 staff (60% blue collar, 40% white collar) across multiple sites, the role is mainly focused on employee relations but with generalist HR duties included. We are seeking candidates who have worked at HR Advisor level with strong ER experience, ideally having supported a blue-collar workforce and/or multiple sites.
There will be travel required but sites further afield will only need to be attended a couple of times per year. Salary circa £35,000 + company car + private medical + bonus.
Overview of role:
- Responsible for the implementation of HR policies and practices in the UK in line with corporate KPIs and business strategy and targets.
- Working with line managers to deal with ER issues, both providing support on less complex cases and taking ownership of more complex matters
- Managing the handling of ER issues sensitively whilst protecting the business interests, advising of the implication on the business and its management processes; supporting colleagues with ER issues to ensure separation of steps within the process.
- To support Business Partners with HR advice and support; to deliver HR Processes and an effective HR service for all employees.
- To develop HR products, policies and processes in line with the HR Project Plan to support the whole HR function.
- Swiftly able to gain confidence and collaborative relationship with business partners.
- To develop and maintain a relationship of trust and influence with key business partners.
- To provide pro-active HR support to agreed level with business partners at all levels.
- To actively support colleagues in the HR team to deliver HR excellence.
- Support the implementation of change and business initiatives in all areas of your responsibility.
- Support the development of the HR Intranet database to assist Line Management in the implementation of HR policy and processes.
- Deliver HR Projects as per the agreed annual plan with a focus on benefits improvement and communication.
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience at HR Advisor level
- Strong ER knowledge
- Full driving licence essential
- Able to work across a region and comfortable to travel
