We are working with the UK head office (Hemel Hempstead) of an extremely exciting global business who are at the forefront of their sector; a well-known, modern and futuristic brand known and seen across the UK and worldwide in homes and offices.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with specific experience in auditing and compliance to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial 3 month period.

Before applying, please note that only qualified accountants and those with Finance Manager experience can be considered for this role. First class skills in MS packages, specifically Excel would be beneficial, as would any prior experience or exposure to SAP.

The positions core hours would be full time, Monday to Friday, based in Hemel Hempstead with great public transport routes and free parking on site; however there may possibly be a requirement to travel with the company to their EU headquarters during the assignment. Finally, the position will be paying from £25 to £30 per hour for the succesful candidate.

Overview of duties:

  • Management of the financial staff on a daily basis, inclusive of staff working in treasury, account payable and account management. 
  • Managing the daily operations of the Finance Department, ensuring transactions are processed on a complete, timely and accurate basis. 
  • Ensure the Sales Company's accounting and reporting compliance responsibilities are maintained.
  • Ensure credit management is carried out in compliance with guidelines.
  • Ensure tax and transfer price compliance is maintained.
  • Manage external and internal audits.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained by ensuring accurate journals and reconciliation of accounts.
  • You will be responsible for the timely production of monthly management accounts and the reporting thereof.

 

Experience needed:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Previous experience of managing a busy accounts department
  • First class Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel
  • Previous experience of SAP is highly desirable
  • Previous experience of working within a multinational company, including experience in international transactions and reporting requirements
  • Fluent in English

 

This company and role comes with great access from public transport routes, otherwise they have free on-site parking available too. As well as a great hourly rate available of £17.50 to £20 per hour for the right candidate.
