We are pleased to be working with a highly successful organisation based on the outskirts of St Albans to recruit an Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their small, close-knit finance team. A growing company that operates within a niche but exciting sector, they are looking for candidates with previous accounts payable experience who can progress and develop with the company as they continue their expansion.  Along with finance duties, there will be an element of general office admin to undertake so candidates must be flexible.

Overview of duties:

• General accounts payable duties
• Processing of invoices, payment runs, processing staff expenses
• Daily bank reconciliation
• Weekly bank reconciliation of HSBC
• Requesting changes to client credit limits
• Creating new clients in Sage
• Printing client statements
• Monthly Debtors Exposure
• Raising Sales invoices to Clients
• AP statement checks
• Maintaining checks to company credit cards
• Providing ad hoc support when needed
• General admin including answering incoming calls

Candidate requirements:

• Previous accounts payable/purchase ledger experience essential
• Experience of Sage desirable but not essential
• Good attention to detail
• Car owner would be needed due to location
• Flexible, friendly and professional character
