Do you fancy a career in IT? We are currently working with a well-established and award-winning company based in Hemel Hempstead. We are looking to recruit an IT Helpdesk Advisor. The role will include some weekend work on rota with overtime paid. An excellent opportunity to start or build upon your IT career!
Main duties to include:
- Dealing with high volumes of calls from staff requiring IT support
- Providing an excellent service to both head office and site based staff
- Handling and resolving IT issues around software, hardware, WiFi, phone systems etc
- Escalating calls that cannot be resolved or of a more serious nature
- Act as first point of contact for a vast range of incidents and service requests
- Answering phone calls in a professional and polite manner
- Building relationships with our team members
- Ability to work under own initiative and have a proactive attitude to work
- Keeping team members up to date on incidents and service requests
- First time fix in accordance with performance targets and ensure SLAs are met
- Responsible for the administration and maintenance of IT accounts
- Root cause diagnosis
- Develop IT procedures
- Software licence management
- Produce and update technical documentation
- Liaison with IT colleagues, business and vendors
- Record keeping on incidents and service requests
- Assisting with hardware builds, including desktops, laptops and phones
- Service request ticket logging using the service request system and expediting – e.g. ordering hardware/software
Candidate requirements:
- IT Helpdesk experience – Desirable, but not essential
- Exceptional communication and customer service
- Enjoys individual and team achievement

- Confident and engaging
- Technical knowledge
