We are pleased to be working with a Watford based business to recruit a Customer Service Manager to take responsibility for their customer service and sales administration function. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years and has become the leading distributor of specialist products across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a busy and challenging role within an SME that truly values its staff.  The successful candidate can have a real impact on the success of the operations!  

Role overview:

• Manage the customer service department (approx. 6 in total)
• Ensure the smooth running of the complex sales order and distribution cycle
• Identify and make improvements in customer service and sales order processes, assisting in increasing profitability and customer satisfaction
• Support staff with any training and development requirements
• Motivate team members to ensure a first-class, efficient service is provided to all customers
• Ensure the administration process behind sales orders is effective
• Identify areas for improvement within the overall business operations
• Work closely with other departments and colleagues to ensure operations run smoothly
• Ensure the company is being represented in a professional manner at all times
• Manage important relationships with key customers
• Recruitment, onboarding and training of new staff
• Manage relationship with couriers to ensure products are distributed as required
• Resolve escalated customer complaints and investigate as necessary

Candidate requirements:

• Previous management experience in a management role in a customer service/sales administration function
• Drive and desire to make a success of the role
• Highly customer focused
• Fantastic leadership skills
• A proven track record in improving processes
• A strong understanding of customer service and sales order cycle
• Development and training of teams
• Ability to motivate staff and ensure maximum performance
