Think Accountancy and Finance are pleased to be working with a client who are on the look out for an experienced Qualified Accountant who has Charity experience.
 
The role will be hybrid with 2 or 3 days a week in the office which is based on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead and can also offer part time hours!
The purpose of the contract it to assure business as usual in the production of management accounts and the operation payroll. This will allow the Head of Finance to focus on budget planning and oversee annual audit process.
 
Main duties:
- Ensure that finance and business information is intelligent, accurate and timely and that the data produced is complete and correct.
- Resolve queries from budget and other managers in respect of all financial matters in a timely manner, through completion of own work and through liaison with colleagues.
- Produce monthly income and expenditure reports, providing comprehensive advice to budget holders.
- Responsible for the production of management accounts
- Implement the recommendations from our internal audit of our payroll data entry process and support the Head of People to incorporate payroll into people services
- Monitor budget performance and suggest service improvements where
- Support the Director of Finance in leading the implementation of efficiencies from our core costs and external contracts
- Work on own initiative within professional guidelines to achieve agreed
- Act as the key link person between key stakeholders
- Contribute to the financial component of the short and long term business planning processes and financial strategies.
- Monitor and report on the Capital expenditure spend against budget
- Ensure that all managers are aware of and act in accordance with Standing Financial
- Regularly develop ad-hoc financial reports using Excel, Access, Crystal Reports and other reports.
- Regularly review working Recommend and implement changes to accommodate improved ways of working.
- Prioritise workload in response to constantly changing
