Key role responsibilities include:
- Working and collaborating with Group and European Finance teams
- Managing the production of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules for UK and European subsidiaries.
- Monthly consolidation of European companies across multiple divisions for both local and group reporting.
- Managing the preparation of monthly project costing, recharges, capex spend and comparison to budget with variance analysis.
- Ensuring monthly reconciliation of all intercompany activity
- Responsible for financial reporting of inventory
- Preparing weekly cashflows for the group
- Compiling budget information from UK and European subsidiaries and creating local and regional budgets.
- Managing annual audit process
- Ensuring timely filing of local tax and statutory requirements like VAT filing, Corporation tax, intrastate reporting, confirmation statements etc.
- Ensuring compliance with financial internal controls
- Identifying and driving process improvements through automation and standardisation of reporting.
- Managing inter-company recharges following transfer pricing guidelines.
Person Specification:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience of working with an inventory based businesses including warehousing and distribution.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with an ability to organise and work with large volumes of data.
- Excellent / Expert presentation and MS Excel skills.
- Strong inter-personal, communication and influencing skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Integration and change management experience
- Merger and Acquisition experience
- Experience of working in matrix structure and managing international multi-site teams.
- Experience in risk management, internal controls, and business process reengineering.
- Ability to lead and train the teams.
