Think Accountancy and Finance are working with a business in Guildford who are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join their growing team.

The company offers hybrid working with 3 days in an office, and 2 days from home each week. It should be noted that this is a role based between the two offices in Guildford and Kings Langley, so you do need to travel between the two sites. You will have a base office but will be working from the alternative site one day per week!  

The team has grown significantly over the recent years and will continue to grow. Due to the growth and demands of the business there is now a need to standardize and do process improvements to make them run as efficiently as possible and to work with Management Accountants to automate/simplify as many processes as possible.

Therefore they are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to come in and learn the reporting requirements, month ends for various clients and support on projects at senior level. In the longer term it would be possible that this person would be allocated their own portfolio of clients.

The position reports to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for the day-to-day financial activities and requirements of the legal entities with a view to support the finance leads as and when needed. You will provide review for the current clients, assist in lender management, migration of systems and process improvements. The demands of this role will vary depending on the needs of the department. Travel will be required from time to time otherwise you will be able to work from home 40% of the time.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide commercial, financial and statutory compliance to clients
• Update bank models, preparations of loan covenant compliance
• Review monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts and variance analysis
• Support team with complex finance tasks and consolidations
• Prepare management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation and reporting templates
• Due Diligence process
• On boarding of new projects
• Support continuous process improvement
• Stakeholder engagement – internal and external
• Project work

To be successful in this role you will require the following experience:

• Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Strong accounting knowledge
• IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101 and UK GAAP
• Management accounts experience
• Statutory reporting experience
• Strong excel knowledge
• Adaptability
• Quick learner
• Proactive
• Strong stakeholder experience
