We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and expanding international business that manufacture and supply sports merchandise and home wear to major UK retailers and supermarkets, along with independent stores and retail chains. They are seeking a competent Key Account Manager to work across the UK customer base and work with key retailers to increase sales. The company is offering a competitive basic salary and bonus, along with the opportunity to progress as the organisation continues to grow.
The business has grown dramatically in recent years and holds the UK licence for many major brands, clubs and tournaments within world sport. Based in Hertfordshire in the South-East of England and with an increasing international presence, the company is looking to build on its success by recruiting a Key Account Manager.
The role is seen as an important part of the company’s growth and, as such, they are looking to recruit an experienced Key/National Account Manager from within the sports, children’s toys, home wear or textiles industry, with experience of working with both UK retail chains (ideally supermarkets) and independent UK retailers. By building and developing relationships with the customer base, you will ensure full customer satisfaction, the increase of sales to both existing and new accounts, that new products are introduced to retailers and that accounts are managed in an extremely professional manner.
Candidates must have proven account management experience from within the sports, toys and/or home wear/textiles product industry (MUST have FMCG experience), and proven success in managing key accounts including large retail customers and independent retailers. You must be commercially focused with a strong track record in managing retail accounts and enhancing sales via relationship building. On top of a competitive basic salary (£30,000 to £40,000) you will have the opportunity to earn bonus and commission based on the personal performance (OTE £40,000 to £50,000) and the successful management of customer accounts. There will also be a company car, monthly/quarterly/annual incentives, company team events and the scope for career progression.
Please note: we are looking for somebody based in the South-East, ideally within a 25 mile radius of the Hertfordshire/North London area.
