We are pleased to be recruiting for a Facilities Manager to manage a high-growth headquarters based in Kings Langley on a full-time, permanent basis.
If you have facilities management experience or have worked within a project management or health & safety management role then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
This position will definitely keep you busy! From ensuring Health & Safety requirements are met to identifying areas of improvement you will certainly be kept on your toes!
This position will be working Monday to Friday in their unique and beautiful office space, working 9am to 5:30pm with free parking on site as well as a range of other fantastic company benefits!
The salary for this position is paying between £40K to £45K with opportunity for salary review each year.
Daily duties:
- Ensure buildings and facilities meet the required Health & Safety requirements and legislation, maintaining accurate and current records.
- Propose, implement, and manage an asset register system (CAFM) to record and monitor assets, their lifecycle and maintenance needs.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and procedures, implementing change as required to develop best practice.
- Review existing contracts for efficiency, effectiveness, and value.
- Co-ordinating and planning essential business services such as building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, security, etc.
- Responsible for managing planned, scheduled, and reactive maintenance of M&E building services.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure works are completed satisfactorily in a timely manner.
- First response to critical failure and engineering breakdowns.
- Project manage all repairs, refurbishments, and minor works on site.
- Assist in preparation of emergency and business continuity plans.
- Budget control and forecasting, working in collaboration with UK Office Manager
- Ability to travel to other UK&I offices where necessary
- Support the UK&I Office Manager and wider team with other tasks and projects as requested
- Act as key holder and out of hours on call support
Candidate requirements:
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge
- Familiar with relevant regulations and statutory compliance
- IT packages, including Microsoft
- Ability to manage and lead projects
- Ability to plan proactively and strategically, and prioritise tasks
- Problem solving/decision making
- Practical approach to engagement and project execution
- Good oral and written communication skills
