Think Accountancy and Finance are supporting an International Business in Hemel Hempstead in the recruitment of a fluent Italian speaking Accountant.

This role will be 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Your role will be assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and ensuring thee integrity of the Italian sets of books.

Duties include:

• To assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly accounts for Italian Company to Trial Balance.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintenance of Italian fixed asset register

• Preparation of Italian Monthly VAT & Intrastat Returns
• Provision of supplementary schedules for France as required for quarterly reporting.
• Ensuring Italian finance complies with Sarbanes Oxley.

• Preparation and submission of journals for approval

Our client is looking for someone who is Part Qualified (ACCA OR CIMA) and with practical experience of accounts up to Trial balance. You will be fluent in Italian and ideally have Oracle experience.

• Completed or studying towards a degree or other relevant qualification in Finance (such as ACCA, CIMA etc.)
• Accounting experience to Trial Balance, with a minimum 1-2 years’ experience at a similar level
• Italian language skills
• Hands on ERP experience
• Strong Excel skills  
• Good communication skills
• Good team player
• Good problem solving skills
• Good organization and planning ability
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Experience working with Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Experience working with internal/external auditors
