Think Accountancy and Finance are supporting a business in Watford in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant. The role will report into the Financial Controller and work closely with the Financial Accountant.  This is a varied role with the potential for progression.

The right candidate will require well rounded experience and knowledge in different areas of finance however some training will be provided.

Day to day activities include:

• Check and enter purchase invoices
• Add stock to the accounts system
• Check staff expenses
• Prepare customer statements and reports
• Process payments payable and receivable
• Prepare bank and cash reconciliations
• Credit management/support debt collection
• Order office supplies
• General office administration
• Assist with preparation of accruals, prepayments and month end journals
• Assist with telephone and email enquiries

There will be an opportunity to assist in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts and other ad hoc projects.  This role will suit a proactive candidate with a positive attitude and ability to grow in the role.

If you have proven bookkeeping experience, knowledge of VAT and good Excel skills then this could be the role for you.
