Think Accountancy and Finance are seeking an experience Accounts professional for an Assistant Accountant role. This is a 12 month contract to start in September for a company based in Luton.

You will be required to have experience of management accounts up to trial balance and be able to manage the accruals and prepayments. A background within bookkeeping and an understanding of double entry would be highly beneficial.

The role will report into a hands on Financial Controller and support accounts administration as well as management accounts.

Main job responsibilities include:

• Bank reconciliations
• Accruals and prepayments
• Purchase Orders
• Cashflow reporting and forecasting
• Analysis
• Month end reporting
• VAT Returns
• Payroll Journals
• P&L
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with Audit queries

To be considered for this position then you must have had experience of accruals and prepayments and management accounts. You will be a hands-on candidate who is able to hit the ground running with a background of bookkeeping being highly desirable.
