Think Accountancy and Finance are pleased to be working with a construction business based in the St Albans area in the recruitment of a Management Accountant/Finance Manager. If you have a background in the construction industry in particular house building/developments, then please do get in touch.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified or Finalist level (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Accountant and will have worked in Construction with hands on CIS experience. Although the team is fairly small now, the company are growing and therefore the team should also grow in time. The ideal candidate will be hands on and happy to get involved in all areas of finance as required.

Main duties will include:

• Monthly Management Accounts
• Year end reporting
• CIS Reporting
• Cash Flow management
• Process improvement around reporting and financial controls
• Day to day financial operations overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Payroll
• Provide the director with financial information and putting together Board Packs
• Budgeting
• Forecasting
• Management of a small team
• Liaising with the external accountants

It is essential that you have recent construction experience to be considered for this position.
