Think Human Resources are pleased to be working with an international organisation to recruit a permanent HR Business Partner to support their UK and international operations. As a key member of a small HR team who are collaborative, close-knit and supportive, the HRBP works in partnership with management across various business units (and their teams) to identify, articulate and implement people focussed solutions that support the delivery of successful business results.
We are looking for candidates with true business partnering experience, proven ability in managing change projects, organisational development, talent management and succession planning, driving improvements in people strategy. It would be beneficial if candidates have experience of supporting international teams or working as part of an international business. The role will involve remote working initially with time then split between the Hatfield office and working from home. Candidates must be able to work from the Hatfield office on a longer-term basis.
The HRBP acts as strategic partner, change agent and employee champion, playing a key role in ensuring the HR function continues to improve and add value to the business. Supporting the Technology, Commercial and Support function, the HRBP will have responsibility for:
- Developing effective working relationships with management teams; influencing and challenging the leaders on their thinking and the development and delivery of their people plans to support the business area objectives.
- Driving, influencing, advising and supporting the cultural and people aspects of organisational change and business improvement initiatives to deliver successful business outcomes through great people leadership.
- Embedding a performance management culture, on both operational delivery and behavioral measures, within the functional areas as a means of driving business improvement.
- Supporting leadership teams to progress their talent management activities, including identification and development of high potential employees, identification of critical roles and associated successions plans, and feeding individual and collective development needs in to overall organisational plans.
- Working with department leaders in the development and delivery of employee engagement initiatives that supports Company values and delivery of the People Plan.
- Working in partnership with the functional leaders and the Employee Relations Team to address employee relations issues with a timely and best practice approach, building management responsibility and capability for managing employee relations issues.
- Successfully delivering team restructures, proposed redundancies, TUPE and any requirements for employee consultation as required.
- Supporting functional leaders with their short & medium term resourcing requirements and plans, ensuring that the internal / external recruitment process works to efficiently and effectively deliver their needs. Provide recruitment process guidance and develop manager recruitment capability to ensure the right resourcing decisions are made.
- Identifying gaps in existing HR policies across all countries supported and work with the Employee Relations Lead to develop new HR policies and procedures that support efficient business operation. Consult and deliver new / amended policies and procedures into the functional teams.
- Equipping functional leaders with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their people in line with their People Plans, in particular data analytics.
- Proactively gaining feedback to improve the HR service offering and provide coaching and advisory support to other members of the HR Team to improve performance and meet business objectives.
- Delivering a value adding HR service as a competent, credible and trustworthy HR partner
Candidate requirements:
- Significant HR experience in direct business facing roles in a high workload fast paced work environment.
- Broad HR generalist experience, including employee relations, organisational design, management development and talent management.
- Experience of change management and successfully supporting management teams through organisational change activities.
- Experience of effectively leading consultation activities to implement an organisational change.
- Demonstrable ability to coach and develop managers and management teams.
- Commercial acumen and demonstrable ability to define HR initiatives that link to and clearly support the achievement of key business objectives.
- Experience of working in a matrix organisation and delivering an HR service to teams located outside of the UK would be a significant advantage.
- CIPD qualification would be desirable
