We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and expanding business that manufacture and supply sports merchandise, toys and children’s outdoor products to both major UK retailers and supermarkets, along with independent stores and chains.  They are seeking a competent Key Account Manager to work with and grow their key retail accounts (experience essential).   The company is based in the South-East of England (Hertfordshire) and they are offering a competitive basic salary and bonus, along with the opportunity to progress as the organisation continues to grow.

The company has grown dramatically over the last 10 years and hold the UK licence for many major brands within world sport, entertainment, film/television and children’s toys.  They have also developed an incredibly successful 'own brand’ that is well known and supplied to UK retailers.  Based in the South-East of England and with an increasing international presence, the company is looking to build on its success by recruiting a Key/National Account Manager.

The role is seen as an important part of the company’s growth and, as such, they are looking to recruit an experienced Key/National Account Manager with experience of working with both UK retail chains and independent UK retailers.   Experience from within the sports, children’s toys, outdoor merchandise industry would be ideal, or an FMCG / grocery background – experience of working with retail accounts is essential.  By building and developing relationships with the customer base, you will ensure full customer satisfaction, that new products are introduced to retailers and that accounts are managed in an extremely professional manner.  Although most of the retail accounts are existing customers, there is an element of business development involved. 

Candidates must have proven account management experience and proven success in managing key accounts including large retail customers and independent retailers.  You must be commercially focused with a strong track record in managing retail accounts and enhancing sales via relationship building. 

On top of a competitive basic salary you will have the opportunity to earn a bonus based on the personal performance and the successful management of customer accounts.  Also included are 25 days holiday and company car/car allowance.
