Think Accountancy and Finance are pleased to be supporting a well know FMCG business in St Albans on an exclusive basis in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant/Administrator.

This is a permanent role offering 3 days in the office and 2 at home for the foreseeable future. Our client is ideally looking for a well-rounded candidate with experience working in FMCG as an ideal.

The role will support the business through financially and operationally administrative tasks. It is a variable role for someone who enjoys working across sales and operations, as well as implementing and driving controls and processes within the business.

Duties include:

• Business partnering within business
• Managing customers on invoice queries
• Liaising with Shared Services in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for outstanding balances
• Raising Credit/Debit Notes
• Working with the Digital team to review price disputes
• Facilitating meetings to discuss aged debt and payables.
• First point of contact for queries from the shared service centre
• Setting/controlling customer Credit Limits on SAP and co-ordinating credit limit reviews
• Monitoring overdue debt and ensuring customer service team chases payment.
• Raise Purchase Order’s on SAP as required for all departments
• Create new Vendors on SAP as required
• Updating supplier pricing on SAP

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact well with other departments and individuals
• Highly organised with the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
• A positive attitude that embraces new opportunities and change as the role develops
• Financially astute with understanding of balance sheet and P&L,
• Experience of SAP would be highly desirable.
• Experience of AP/AR, raising credit notes, customer set up, maintaining/monitoring credit limits and aged debt balances
• An innovative and customer focused thinker, who is solution focused
• Numerical and Analytical reasoning
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• FMCG experience
