Think Specialist Recruitment are pleased to be working with a well-established family run business based in the Watford area. Our client are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their organisation within this newly created position. This position has been created due to company growth, this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to oversee the Customer Service and Sales Admin functions within the business, ensuring the warehouse is operating effectively to fulfil orders efficiently.  Reporting into the Managing Director, the role will also deal day to day with customers and orders, along with general staff management, basic HR, process improvement and supporting the MD.

This position will suit a candidate that has worked within an SME environment previously, has a hands on approach to work and enjoys a busy varied position. Ideally candidates will have worked within a product environment overseeing the order process and customer service.

Some of the duties will include:

• Management of internal sales, customer service
• oversee the warehouse operations
• Commercial analysis and recommendations 
• Having some knowledge of HR to be able to deal with transactional HR issues
• Being involved in the recruitment process of the business
• IT Project Management 
• Ensuring contracts are renewed and kept up to date 
• Handling compliance 
• Keeping up to date Health and Safety within the business 
• Facilities
• Ensuring Customer Service function deliver a high standard of service
• Setting KPI's for Warehouse team and ensure they work towards these

The suitable candidate:

• Experience within a similar position
• Management experience of an order cycle and customer services
• Comes from an SME background
• All round, hands on approach 
• Strong commercial skills 
• Strong numerical skills 
• Strong IT skills including Excel
• Driven approach to work
• Ability to build strong working relationships across the business
