Think Specialist Recruitment are working alongside a global organisation based in Hemel Hempstead, looking for the right candidate to join their Finance team and support with basic Sales Ledger and Credit Control duties. 

This role will be starting on a temporary basis and working flexible, full time hours of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, commencing as soon as possible for the right candidate. 

Within this role you will be responsible for a variety of duties that would benefit from someone with knowledge or experience of working in Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Credit Control. 

The type of individual we are looking for is someone with good initiative, a proactive person who shows awareness and interest in what they are doing and can build good and strong relationships with contacts face to face, over email and on the phone. 

Key Responsibilities

• Reconciling supplier statements
• Prepare customer statements
• Request outstanding invoices
• Matching receipts to invoices
• Credit control
• General office administration and data entry

Candidate Skills

• Strong finance skills - Credit Control and Sales or Purchase Ledger ideal
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Ideally will have exposure to a finance/accounts environment
• Capable of using your own initiative and make decisions
• Ability to multi-task within a pressurised environment
• Strong prioritisation and planning skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages – Word, Excel, Outlook
• Reliable and flexible
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
•  “Can do” attitude and willing to assist where necessary to help others
