Think Accountancy and Finance are recruiting for a growing but well established business with its Head Office in Hemel Hempstead. They are recruiting for an Accounts Manager who is part qualified or qualified or QBE and has a solid background in managing or supervising staff. Ideally you will have an AR background and be focused on systems, processes and controls. The role would benefit from someone who has worked with bespoke systems in the past as well as an understanding of bookkeeping and statutory accounts.

In this role you will be responsible for the managing a team who oversee budgets and year ends for multiple clients/businesses.

Duties include:

• Day to day management of a team of 5-8 people.
• Process Improvement
• Bank Reconciliations
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Statutory Accounts
• Query resolutions
• Integration of new data
• Manage own workflow and tasks
• Manage a portfolio of clients
• Producing internal and external reports
• Project work
• Attend face to face client meetings
• Ensure staff are trained and working against KPIs

My client is looking for candidates who have:

• Previous Management experience or someone who wants to step up from Team Leader/Supervisor level
• Strong technical accounts background
• Have good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
• Good Excel experience
• Have exceptional communications skills – written and oral
• Have a “solution finding” nature
• Be able to communicate with people internally and externally
• Be able to use own initiative
• Be Part or fully Qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA or QBE

This role will have some hybrid working to begin with, but you will be required in the office for training regularly in the beginning months.
