Are you an experienced, qualified (ACCA or CIMA) Financial Controller? Do you have experience in managing a small team? Our client are the market leaders in their field, with a warm family feel to their culture, are looking for a Group Financial Controller to manage accounting functions for their international and UK group offices. This is a pivotal role for the business, and you will be working closely with and report to the Managing Director with timely and accurate financial information. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
• Manage accounting functions for our international and UK group offices
• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems.
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Develop systems and processes to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
• Report to the MD with timely and accurate financial information.
• Overseeing/supporting the AP and AR functions as required
• Assisting the Management Accountant as required.
• To oversee the entire Accounts team and their processes
• Assist with preparations of annual budgets and forecasts
• Advising management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies and actions
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and
  strengthen internal controls

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 5 years in a Financial Controller position
• Qualified accountant - ACCA or CIMA
• Experience of building best in class financial controls and reporting lines
• Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year end processes
• Experience in creating financial statements
• Broad knowledge of VAT and Intrastat EC Sales
• Experience of managing a team of more than 5
