Do you have experience of managing contractor compliance within the recruitment sector? Are you familiar with GDPR, IFRS and recruitment contracts? Are you familiar with the legal requirements and terms associated with interim recruitment? We are pleased to be recruiting for a Contracts and Compliance Manager to join a successful recruitment company based on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. A highly successful, long-established, and growing business that operates on an international basis, they have a great culture and offer a fantastic working environment.
Due to the constantly evolving nature of the business there needs to be a flexible and adaptable approach to the work, there is the possibility of 2 or 3 days working from home for the right candidate. Candidates MUST have recruitment experience to be considered.
The fundamental purpose of this important role is to ensure the company operate with a compliant and commercially viable approach to all business activities. A key responsibility is to ensure that the risks, liabilities, and commitments contained within contractual agreements incurred by the business are identified and mitigated in order that these agreements balance risk with appropriate profitability
In addition, this candidate will be responsible for a team of 3 and will need to ensure GDPR compliance across all businesses
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Management of a small team within compliance and contracts department
- Management and renewal of EU tax system documentation
- Sound knowledge of EU and APAC/EMEA tax legislation
- Experience of implementing new policies and procedures
- Instruct and manage external legal counsels in numerous international jurisdictions
- Provide accurate and effective advice on legal matters in support of the business
- Act as first point of contact for compliance enquiries from the internal business and contractors
- Ensure all compliance documentation obtained is accurate and compliant within country legislation
- Management of the compliance supply chain, including maintaining relationships with external partners and conducting supplier reviews and audits
- Review and ensure that Client PO’s are accurate and attached to the CRM
- Quality control of all contractor contracts generated and distributed
- Review of Client Framework Agreements and creation of appendixes, ensuring a consistent approach
- Conduct contract and compliance audits
- Check existing contracts and ensure terms and clauses are back to back with Clients
- Country specific requirements have been adhered to and compliant with country legislation
- All required compliance items are obtained within the required time frame
- Training session development and delivery to the sales team and wider business on compliant solutions, processes, and procedures
- Escalating to Leadership Team any business or legal actions that comes to my attention outside of company policy
- Working to the Companies Service Level Agreements
- Excellent planning and organising ability in coping with a demanding workload
- Adaptable and able to work on a variety of matters at any one time
Knowledge/Skills:
- In depth experience of managing contractor compliance and administration
- Proven history, balancing compliance and commercial approaches to business
- Knowledge of global engagement processes for professional contractors
- Knowledge of legislation impacting the recruitment sector such as AWR, GDPR, IR35, CIS, Off payroll in the private sector
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills; producing accurate and reliable information
- The ability to prioritise autonomously is essential
- Excellent communication skills with contractors, clients and work colleagues
- Experience and knowledge of the recruitment industry (particularly the contractor aspect of the business) is essential
- Experience in a similar position within an international recruitment business
- Knowledge of Bullhorn (CRM) would be desirable
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment
