Do you have experience of managing Billing and Settlements within the Energy Industry? Are you used to managing people with a ‘hands on’, managerial approach? We are looking for a Billing and Settlements Manager to organise and manage our client’s resources of their Billing and Settlement Team, to ensure that a high quality, cost effective processing and servicing facility is provided. You will join a vibrant and friendly team within one of the UK’s most reputable Energy Suppliers. Main duties to include:

• Preparing and executing bill runs for Gas and Electricity customers.
• Plan and control all available resources to ensure achievement of agreed service standards, facilitate continuous improvement and to maintain costs within agreed budgets.
• Manage direct reports ensuring that their individual and collective performance.

• Monitor the quality of service provided by the team to ensure achievement of agreed service standards, regularly reviewing customer satisfaction and recommending/undertaking appropriate action to continually improve performance, RF and unbilled
• Ensure operational performance, taking responsibility/initiating appropriate action for service failures
• Resolve escalated complex and/or sensitive problems/complaints to ensure that the customer requirements are met

Candidate requirements:

• Knowledge of Electricity/Gas activities and services, a good service industry knowledge, i.e. OFGEM, Ombudsman
• Strong numerical skills
• Strong presentation skills to present information to your team and able to facilitate team meetings in order to pass on and/or obtain information
• Effective control and maintenance of budget
• Hands on managerial approach – leading by example whilst developing your team
