My client is looking for a commercially minded credit specialist, someone who can handle more difficult money collections whilst maintaining excellent relationships. This role will have very high volumes of invoices and it is vital that you can manage your workload in their busier periods. This is a great opportunity for someone to really excel at what they do best.
Duties include:
- Being directly responsible for large customer and client accounts
- Maintaining full and comprehensive records of next actions within the credit control log
- Chasing clients by phone and by email and reducing debtor days
- Being pro-active and reactive in your collection techniques to ensure you maximise your cash collection
- Responsible for all credit control administration duties, including inputting all data into client portals as well as assisting with the chasing of purchase orders from customers
- Timely resolution of invoice queries
- Allocation of payments
- Process and generate reminder letters and monthly statements on a timely basis
- Identify credit risk and disputes at an early stage
- Ensure all client payment terms are adhered to
- Credit notes
- Working in partnership with the sales and operation teams to identify any accounts that fall into arrears and manage them immediately
- Perform other duties as required
To be considered for this role we are looking for someone as follows:
- Ideally educated to degree level and hold an ICM qualification or equivalent proven track record
- A minimum of 4 years within a solely Credit Control position
- A high calibre individual who has excellent communication skills in person, on the phone and on email
- Have excellent customer relationship management skills
- Be able to build strong relationships with people at all levels
- Be responsive to customer requests and maintain high levels of professionalism at all times
- Have strong IT skills and have experience of using a CRM system and MS Office
- Have a high level of understanding around credit risk, financial exposure and setting credit limits
- Be a self-starter and motivated to achieve cash targets
- Be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and be an excellent problem solver
- Detailed orientated and highly organised
- Flexible and dynamic in their approach
