Think Accountancy and Finance are seeking an all-round and varied accounts assistant for a busy accounts team in Amersham. Salary up to £25,000 for the right candidate.

The role will report into the Finance Manager and will allow the successful candidate exposure to all areas of accountancy. This is a full time office role.

As an experienced accounts assistant your duties will include:

• Accounts Receivable – maintain the cash book, bank cheques and allocating all payments onto the system
• Month end invoicing and journals (accruals/prepayments)
• Credit and Debit card reconciliations
• Maintaining customer accounts
• Raising credit notes
• Managing databases
• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts Payable
• Aged Debt
• Employee expenses

The ideal candidate will have recent experience in an all-round position covering both accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will have a can-do attitude and be prepared to be flexible to help across the business. You will have strong Excel experience including pivot tables and V look ups. 

The right candidate for this role will be someone who is able to cope in a busy accounting office, who takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail. Although a small team, the position will allow variety, training where needed and exposure to month end procedures.  You must be a clear communicator and have a positive demeanour.
