Think Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be supporting a company who are market leaders in their field. They are seeking a maternity cover to join the Accounts Payable team to work in their London office for a year.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a high-volume accounts payable environment. Experience in dealing with delivery notes and purchase orders would be hugely beneficial.

The client is keen to get the successful candidate started as soon as possible.

Job description:

This is an exciting role for a committed and hardworking Accounts Payable Assistant who has also had Accounts Receivable duties as part of their role. It will be a  challenging role but benefits from working in a highly motivated team in a high growth environment.

This is a role will offer variety with a wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

• Processing stock and overhead invoices
• Checking receipts on our ERP system with invoices and checking the pricing
• Coding invoices and expenses
• Checking invoice approvals against our authorisation matrix
• Scan and file invoices electronically
• Preparation of payment proposals
• Processing expenses and credit card transactions
• Answering queries from all stakeholders
• Liaising with suppliers in the event of queries
• Regular allocation of transactions
• Aged creditor review
• Supplier statement reconciliation
• Drive improvements in procedures and processes
• Rising and posting intercompany invoices

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a minimum of 12 months Accounts payable experience
• Be energetic, proactive and have a methodical approach to work.
• Have experience working to deadlines.

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Have strong systems analysis skills.
• Have good attention to detail and be a problem solver.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office and strong proficiency in Excel and be able to naturally pick up new systems.
