Think Accountancy and Finance are pleased to be working with a Global organisation based within the Langley area. This leading company are looking for a Commercial Controller to join one of their divisions within the business. 
This opportunity would suit a candidate with previous experience within a similar role, someone who has experience of supervising people, as well as someone who is very analytical with strong Excel skills. This is a 12 month Maternity cover to start ASAP.

You will be a key business interface and contact in relation for all the day to day commercial operational reporting and P&L reporting.

You will need to ensure the integrity and protection of revenue and cost reported for the business units operational activities. You will have a strong focus on the detailed analysis and provision of accurate and timely reporting.

Experience within logistics/freight forwarding/airline industries is desirable but not essential. 

Salary - £28000 – 31500 (12 month maternity cover) 


Some of the main duties will include:

• Extraction, reconciliation and analysis of information to facilitate weekly and monthly reporting
• Production of month end reporting for the production of P&L
• Oversee management of cost and revenue invoice queries – ensure resolved in a timely manner
• Liaise with billing team, credit control and purchase ledger to ensure all revenue and costs booked correctly.
• Collaborate with commercial and procurement teams
• Minimise exposure to unrecorded costs via review, tracking and analysis
• Contribute to the overall provision of cost and revenue reports on weekly, monthly or ad-hoc basis
• Management and recoding of all accruals
• Process improvement
• Contribute to automation projects leading to improved efficiency
• Oversee work of commercial analysts, setting goals and monitoring KPIs
• Production of revenue – collation and preparation of manual billing
• Production of Cost of Sales accruals

The suitable candidate:

• Will be available on short notice
• 3-4 years of professional service including previous supervisory experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent numerical skills and reconciliations
• Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to drive and manage performance
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
• Active knowledge of related industry standards, process and guidelines
• Understands key cost drivers within operations and controls stakeholders accordingly

• Good time management skills, ability to manage own workload, delegate where necessary and support team members to meet deadlines
