We are looking to recruit a Customer Service Administrator to assist in the day-to-day customer requests & enquiries as well as other pro-active duties to ensure customer satisfaction.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a fun, friendly & successful team and would suit someone that is able to use own initiative, whilst also working as part of a small team.
Someone with previous Customer Service experience and used to working in a fast paced & busy environment would fit in well or this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in office-based role.
A good level of computer literacy and an excellent telephone manner, and to be familiar with all Microsoft Office applications is a must (Word, Excel etc), full training provided.
This role will pay between £22K to £24K on a Monday to Friday basis. Hours are 9am to 5pm!
Please be aware this role is fully office based in Pitstone.
Key responsibilities:
- Receive customer enquiries by phone and e-mail and process in our ERP system
- Process standing customer orders in our ERP system
- Provide customers with quotes for new products and special items as requested
- Pro-actively follow-up on customer quotations to gain the order wherever possible
- Resolve all customer queries pro-actively and efficiently
- Pro-actively follow-up to ensure receipt of all customer deliveries and efficiently resolve any issues
- Process any customer returns, liaising with purchasing/warehousing to ensure supplier returns are actioned
- Maintain customer webstores, updating and amending as the need arises
- Produce detailed monthly reports showing details of all customer orders and summary information
- Provide administrative support for your colleagues
- Liaising with the suppliers to obtain prices, lead times and to place orders etc
- Produce ad hoc reports or analysis as required
- Communicate agreed cost prices and allocate stock to sales orders
- Invoice filing
- Monitor the shipping dates and discuss any issues arising from delays to orders
- Be the point of contact with the warehouse to resolve any delivery queries and keep the customer up to date on progress

- Be proficient in the use of common computer software (Excel/Outlook) plus our own ERP systems

- Work efficiently and pro-actively identify opportunities for improvements within our internal processes
- Be willing to challenge colleagues as appropriate to ensure all activities are completed to the highest standards
- Communicate openly, both with colleagues and external customers
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to support on any tasks or projects as required by the business
- Being confident with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Customer focused, a logical thinker with excellent admin skills
- Able to work independently and prioritise tasks
- Ability to build relationships at all levels
