Head of Reward and Recognition job opportunity based in the Slough area! Working for a market leading, global company with a recognisable brand , we are looking for experienced candidates with a wealth of knowledge in the reward and recognition sector to lead and develop the function within the UK business. The role will manage effective remuneration policies, benefits schemes and Reward and Recognition processes to support the needs of the business and their ability to attract, retain and reward their employees. With a UK employee base of circa 4,000 employees it is essential that candidates have previously successfully led the Reward function of a large business.
Role overview:
- Set policies on salary and benefit schemes and processes for UK business within overall global framework and considering the UK requirements
- Management of incentive schemes aligned to business requirements
- Ensure local implementation of executive reward strategy in UK
- Support HR Director in the execution of local guidelines, policies and schemes
- Manage job evaluation system(s) – as existing in the organisation
- Act as a consultant to line management in regards to R&R matters
- Provides input and cost analysis for personnel costs and budgeting process
- Liaise with external consultants and industry colleagues
- Benchmark company R&R policies with outside companies through participation in outside surveys/forums and propose possible amendments
- Represent business externally in area of responsibility
- Oversee relationships with external vendors of R&R services and drive quality and supplier service for area of responsibility
- Drive integration of UK reward policies and processes
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of R&R information to global HQ
- Co-ordinate and monitor annual bonus plan processes and salary reviews for local staff and managers
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in the area of reward, especially through benefit plan reviews
- Implement and ensure the proper administration of locally the global expatriate management policy; for senior managers ensure compliance with company foreign assignment policy
- Manage UK R&R team
- Determine team structure, roles, performance targets, goals and performance results of R&R team
- Promote career development
Candidate requirements:
- Highly experienced with leading a department in a Reward and Recognition capacity
- Ability to manage and lead UK reward strategy
- Good management skills to lead and motivate a team of 4
- Strong customer orientation (internal)
