Think Accountancy and Finance are supporting one of their key clients in recruiting a Payroll Officer based in Hemel Hempstead. This role will report to the Payroll Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of PAYE weekly and monthly payrolls.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• To prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll
• To prepare and process umbrella payments
• Chasing timesheets and payment information required
• Process all aspects of the payroll which will include HMRC starter checklists and P45’s
• Checking payroll reports thoroughly and processing holiday pay
• Maintain all records to ensure all details are correct which will include starters, leavers, rate changes and back details
• Resolve all payment related queries
• Assist with month-end and year-end reports
• Produce weekly and monthly reports

Experience required:

• Experience with PAYE and Umbrella payments
• Strong knowledge of Excel including V-Look Ups and Pivot Tables
• Confidence to deal with ay queries and all third parties
• Able to work to tight deadlines
