Think Specialist Recruitment have registered an exciting new role for a HR Assistant to join a highly successful company which is growing fast. Our Harpenden-based client is looking for someone who can provide support and advice to employees and line managers within a quickly changing environment. We are looking for a confident HR Assistant who has a strong work ethic and knows how to build relationships at all levels across a business.  This role is within a medium sized HR function, offering the opportunity to progress your career and gain extensive experience within a fast-paced commercial environment.

Duties to Include:

• Provide HR Support to employees and line managers.
• Write up key HR documents such as job specifications, offer letters, script preparation for meetings etc
• Providing advice to line managers regarding employee relation matters
• Interpreting meeting minutes/notes and actioning appropriately
• Follow key policies and processes
• Proactively contribute and provide HR administration support to the HR Advisor
• Manage pension administration process
• Handle maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave processes and any related queries
• Cover colleagues’ cases when necessary
• Ensure all criminal record checks are carried out efficiently

Candidate Requirements:

• Friendly with a good sense of humour
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ideally qualified to Level 3 CIPD (my client could support further study)
• Good understanding of HR within the private sector
• Attention to detail
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
