Candidate supply dropping at record pace
15th September 2021

Hitting the headlines recently has been the news that there is a great  amount of jobs availble in the UK market but the amount of candidates is in decline.

Commenting on the latest survey results, Claire Warnes, Head of Education, Skills and Productivity at KPMG UK, said:

'Candidate shortages continue to plague businesses, who are all recruiting from the same pool of talent and struggling to fill gaps. While record high permanent placements and higher starting salaries mean it remains a job seekers market, recruiters and employers have seen the most severe decline of candidate availability in the survey’s history and will be thinking about how to attract and retain new staff'.

Here at Think we've been aware of an been working with these market conditions for the last few months. And while there is a shortage of candidates, we still have some fantastic candiates on our books and have been able to place them into some great roles in both permanent and temporary employment.

It may be harder for  businesses who don't have the time or resources to dedicate to finding the right candidates, and having to filter through all the CVs and job hunters that don't have the skill set they are looking for.

If you are looking for great candidates for your business, and need the support of a experienced and ethical recruitment partner, don't hesitate to give us a call or 01442 600 100 or email [email protected]
