A review of 2019 - what a year its been!

As we approach the end of Think Specialist Recruitment’s 9th year of trading, I’m happy to write a review of our 2019! 

We’ve had another successful year of growth and 2019 has continued our record of growing the business year on year, every year, since we launched in 2011 – a fact I’m incredibly proud of and one I would like to thank my staff for – Thank You!  We celebrated with our Christmas party at Aldenham Country Park where we had a fantastic evening, one of many great incentives that we had this year. 

            

Without the fantastic team effort we would not have achieved such amazing results, in what has been a year of major political and economic uncertainty. Looking back on my 2018 review, this time last year there were huge concerns about the upcoming Brexit and the resulting impact on the job market – and still we wait!  Thankfully it has been a steady year and the job market has remained buoyant with employment at a high.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that confidence to recruit continues to grow and that we’re not still waiting on Brexit in another year’s time!

Our growth this year has been a result of our continued investment into recruiting and training high calibre Consultants to the team, our marketing/brand awareness, successfully bringing on board new clients along with maintaining our existing customer base.  Our Consultants have worked hard to increase our market share and we have had some great results across the team.


Office move (finally!)

One of our major milestones this year was moving into our new Hemel Hempstead office. A LONG time in coming, we now have a fantastic office that we have made our own with the construction of a meeting room, branding on the walls and space to grow the team! After many delays to the office being ready, we have now been here for coming up to 10 months and created a great working environment for our team. If you have driven along Maylands Avenue you will have hopefully seen our branding on the office windows – keep your eyes peeled for us! 

      

Temporary

Our temporary division has had another strong year and we are pleased to be supplying high-calibre temps to more businesses then ever before.  Our screening, reference checks and vetting processes ensure the quality and reliability of our temps – for more information please call Bobby or Alex on 01442 600100. 

We were pleased to promote Bobby Collins to Senior Consultant in the Summer following his consistent performance and the fantastic relationships he has built with local clients and candidates. Our Team Leader, Alex, got married in October and we all enjoyed celebrating her big day with her.  We are pleased to confirm that we have also just renewed our contract for the supply of temps to one of Watford’s leading employers!

 

 

Permanent

Our permanent division saw a year of growth, both in team size and the number of placements we have made across 2019.  We saw some changes to the team with the hiring of Ben Jackson, Amy Whittingham and Jordan Deverrick to the business. We are pleased to be working with more and more local companies to supply quality candidates who make a lasting impression on the teams they join.  With our new Consultants bedded in, we’re looking forward to our permanent division’s prospects in 2020 and I’m excited about the growth that we’ll see next year! If you would like to discuss your job search or how we go about finding high calibre candidates for our clients, please contact the team on 01442 600100.  


Uxbridge office

October 2019 saw the opening of our 2nd office in Uxbridge! Led by a highly experienced Manager in Van Kotedia, the team have made a steady start and are beginning to bring new clients and vacancies on board.

2020 plans

We have some exciting news to come in early 2020 with a further addition to the Think team who will be responsible for launching and growing a new division for the Company – more to follow in January!  We have set some ambitious targets for next year and are confident to grow even more quickly now our existing team in our Hertfordshire office are established, the Uxbridge office has launched and our new divisions will be starting in early 2020.
