Do you have previous IT support/IT helpdesk experience that you are looking to build upon?  Would you like to work for one of the top employers in the local area?  Think Specialist Recruitment is seeking an IT Helpdesk candidate for a large, well known company that operates on a national basis with their headquarters in Hemel Hempstead. We are looking for technically minded candidates looking to start their career in an IT role (full training provided) or candidates with some previous IT support/IT helpdesk experience looking for their next IT position.

Overview of Duties

•  Dealing with on-site/off-site staff issues regarding: ordering hardware/software, creating system accounts/logins and password resets, configuration of Blackberry handsets, managing joiners/leavers IT requirements, requesting broadband etc
• Software licence management.
• Lead on the procurement of hardware/software/peripherals (including equipment, licences, upgrades and maintenance ) for IT department
• Responsible for maintaining stock levels and asset management for the helpdesk team.
• Managing supplier relationships to ensure all orders are competitively priced.
• Managing expectations in regards to internal orders.
• Incident call logging and root cause diagnosis using the incident management system.
• Escalation of calls that cannot be resolved to the relevant team.
• Creating system accounts, configuration of blackberry handsets.
• Managing joiners/movers/ leavers IT requirements.
• Ordering printer toner.

Candidate requirements

• Previous experience within IT support and/or IT Helpdesk role desirable but not essential.
• Candidates must have an interest in IT and excellent customer service skills 
• Good Windows and MS Office knowledge
• Knowledge of PCs, printers and multimedia equipment.
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• Exceptional attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise and organise workload under pressure.
• Willingness to take ownership of tasks
• Able to work Saturday or Sunday approx 3 weekends in 8.
