Think Specialist Recruitment is recruiting a Business and Finance Manager on behalf of a specialist charity that run both schools and associated adult services across the region. The role will be based in Southall, West London and involves managerial responsibility across the School and other business units. We are seeking candidates with strong finance and budget management experience, along with the ability to lead and manage a team to ensure the smooth running of back office procedures (administration, HR, facilities etc) at the school and other associated sites. A varied and busy role that will include many responsibilities and ensure efficient management of budgets, daily business management and will oversee all HR, facilities, administration and supervisory processes/procedures.
Finance Manager duties:
- Support local management in the development of annual budgets for the relevant schools and services, assisting managers in control of devolved budgets
- Provide central Finance with accurate and timely financial information including quarterly forecasts
- Responsible for the detailed review of monthly accounts, ensuring monthly financial returns are made
- Ensure accurate submission of monthly payroll
- Provide central Finance and local management with relevant financial information to enable decision making/formulation of accurate business plans
- Ensure financial efficiencies are achieved across School and regional services
- Ensure that local finance systems and controls meet relevant requirements
- Assist in the completion of tenders including costings and budgets
- Responsible for collection of cash from bank and reporting local bank transactions to central Finance
Business Manager duties:
- Work with Group HR Manager to ensure all aspects of regional HR function meet legal and operational requirements
- Ensure maintenance of accurate pupil/service user records
- Ensure the efficient management of administration within the school/services
- Coordinating the marketing function including production of prospectus, leaflets, booklets
- Assist in completion of tenders, preferred provider applications etc
- Work with central Contracts team to ensure efficient management of service providers
- Liaison with Area Facilities Manager to ensure buildings/grounds are maintained
- Oversee the Health & Safety function of the school/services including risk assessments
